As most of you know, I was in California for a few days this past week. A friend of mine was going to court over some unpaid medical bills his friend owed him from accidentally shooting him through both legs back in July. So the reason we went is to be on Judge Judy. I always knew she was terrifying, rude, heartless and pretty much the spawn of Satan. So that being said, neither party won. She went off on a tangent about one detail that had nothing to do with what the case was about. She was mad that the guns were ever in the car. While, that indeed was dumb, it was beside the point. We even had it in writing the other party said he would pay and she blew it off. So. Never waste you time going to see her. But she paid for a trip out there for us so whatever. So that was no fun, but the rest of the trip was fun.
Day one-or night one I guess. We were supposed to get there in the early evening but since out flight out of Wichita to Dallas was delayed we missed our connecting flight from Dallas to LA and were stuck in Dallas for a good 2-3 hours. So we finally got to LA about 9 or 10, waited for a taxi and went to the Sheraton Hotel in downtown LA. That was my first taxi ride ever and it was terrifying. I learned over the next few days that not just taxi cab drivers, but ALL public transportation drivers and terrible and on a mission to either kill you or make you poop your pants in fear for your life. I also saw a real palm tree for the first time ever while I was in the taxi. I love palms trees now, they’re so neat! So once we got to the hotel, we checked in and found our rooms. The rooms were nice but this being a fancy hotel that charges roughly $215 a night I was expecting there to be a fridge in the room, a pool, breakfast and free internet. But no. There were none of those things. I’ll stick with super 8 next time, thanks. After we dropped out stuff off, we set out to prowl the streets of downtown LA. There’s not a lot of cool places to go in downtown LA that late at night so we mainly just walked around and looked at stuff and watched the homeless people harass people. After losing ourselves a few times looking for a bar or something to go to we gave up and decided to go back to the bar in the hotel. But we soon found out that they close at 10. The lady told us of a Japanese place across the street called Wokcano that was open til 2. So went went back out and walked all over looking for the stupid place. We couldn’t find it across the street so we walked and walked and finally gave up and headed back to the hotel. Then we saw it. Right across. the street. I don’t know how we missed it all the other times. So we went in and sat at the bar and had some drinks. By the time 2 am rolled around we had both had enough to drink. So we got lost downtown some more. Mike puked in the streets of downtown LA, but I waited til we got back to the fancy hotel to puke and pass out from alcohol and pure exhaustion. I’ve never walked so much in my life.
Day 2. Got up around 10 I think. Walked down to some convenience store got somethin to drink and headed back to Wakcano to see if I had left my ID there. Yes, I lost it again. The manage wasn’t there yet to open the office to check so she took my name and number and was supposed to call me. We left and tried to backtrack our steps of everywhere we walked the night before to see if we could find it. But no luck. So we made our way to the subway station and took the subway to Hollywood. That was my first subway ride ever. It wasn’t too bad, kinda fun. When we got to Hollywood we strolled down Hollywood Blvd. for quite awhile and looked at all the shops and crazy people. Then we tried to walk to the Hollywood sign but after awhile realized it was too far and we’d never get there and turned back. We got back to Hollywood Blvd. and spotted a little pizza place and decided to have lunch there. The slices of pizza were huuuge. I only ate about half of mine. Then I decided to call back Wakcano since they failed to call me back. They did not have my ID, it was officially lost and I’m sure some homeless guy in LA is carrying it around with him. After lunch we went out back down Hollywood Blvd. where we were then sweet talked into taking a tour. It took us by famous people’s houses like Michael Jackson, the playboy mansion, J-Lo, Simon Cowell, The Jonas Brothers, Brittany Spears, Christina Aguilera and a bunch more. Theses people’s houses are ridiculous to say the least. Most of them have more than one too. Then it took us to this lookout place where you could see out over the whole city and see the Hollywood sign. Then we went back down to Hollywood Blvd. and got off the tour bus thing. At this point it was about 5pm or so and Hollywood Blvd. was starting to come alive. We saw Spiderman, Batman, Darth Vadar, Snoopy and ever Napoleon Dynamite! He was incredibly awkward and his staring creeped me out a little. Then we made our way to the subway station and took it to Vermont I think. From there we tried to find a bus stop for a bus that would take us to Santa Monica. Finally found one and got on. This was my first bus ride ever. It was now rush hour so taking the bus about 10 miles took over and hour. Ugh. This is when we saw a homeless guy get on the bus with all his bags. He sat down across from us and passed out and started drooling. It was funny. We finally made it to Santa Monica and went to Santa Monica Pier. We were hungry again so we went to this little place that had pretty much all seafood. So I got some overpriced chicken nuggets. Then we went out to see the beach. This was my first time seeing the ocean. It was really dark so it was hard to see much but a few waves. After standing there looking at it for a bit we walked back up and looked at a few shops then headed back to the bus stop. Got back on the bus and took it back to downtown LA. It didn’t take as long to get back since the traffic had died down. The bus was super crowded this time and we were the only white people on the bus for sure. Was a little weird. We got back to LA and walked back to the hotel. Then a buddy of Mikes who lives in the area took us out to a place called Yardhouse. We were gonna go somewhere cooler but options were limited since I had to lose my ID. But this place was still neat. They have the largest selection of draft beer in the world, 142 kinds I think. The cool waiter took us back and showed us the keg room. There was a lot of kegs. We stayed and chilled there for quite a while and they tried to get me to eat calamari. It stank and looked absolutely frightening. I did not eat it. Gross. I stuck with my usual chicken strips. After that he drove us around a little bit and showed us some stuff. Drove by a movie set where they’re filming a new Meet the Fockers, as if we needed another one of those. This one is going to be about the “little fockers” Oh boy. Then we went back to the hotel. Went to sleep fairly early since I was so worn out and we had to get up early to get up, get ready for court and head back to the airport.
Day 3. Woke up around 8 and got ready and packed up all my stuff. Went down and checked out and the taxi picked us up and took us to the Judge Judy studio. We got there and we had to take all our bags and stuff in with us. The stupid security man opened my suitcase which I had to squeeze and stuff things into to get it to zip. So then he couldn’t get it shut again. Stupid man. They didn’t allow phones or cameras so we didn’t get any pictures. We sat in the room with all the rest of the plaintiffs that were there and waited our turn. The producers came and talked to us. She was excited cuz in 12 years had never had a case like this and didn’t know how it was going to turn out. We got in there and she was rude and stupid like I had imagined. Like I said before, she didn’t really care of listen to what the case was actually about and went off on something else. So neither party really won since she also threw out the counter claim. So we left and took a taxi to the airport. They didn’t allow us any time to change so I was stuck wearing super uncomfortable heels all throw the airports. We got to the airport and I had to check in without an ID which is a pain in the but. The Dallas airport actually went through everything in my purse and patted me down cuz “they’re a REAL airport” unlike LA. So we finally got past all the security and made it back home.

Today we added a new member to the family. He’s an 8 week old chocolate and tan mini dachshund named Templeton. He doesn’t do much except cuddle. I took him outside but all he did was hide between my feet. So he came in and pooped on the floor instead. Joy. We have a lot of potty training work to do. He wont eat the puppy food we got him, I think it’s too hard. So I guess I need to find something softer.
Here’s some pictures of him.

We decided to go on a last minute vacation over 4th of July weekend. My uncle has a cabin in the mountains by Granby and Grand Lake. My dad and his wife were going up there so we went too. We left Wichita on Friday afternoon. We bought a GPS thing just for this trip, but it didn’t do so with with the small mountain roads. It took us up the mountain and then told us to take a road that didn’t exist. So we got lost in the mountains at like 1 in the morning. We finally found the cabin but when we got there the key wasn’t where my uncle said it would be and we had no phone service and couldn’t call anyone. So we left and drove around for hours looking for a hotel with vacancy. They were all full cuz of the holiday I guess. Finally found one and checked in and crashed out. Or tried to, Kaden wanted to stay up. So we slept for about 3 hours and my dad calls and wakes us up and tells us where the key is. So we got up, got around, went down and ate free breakfast and headed back to the cabin. We got there, found the key, and went back to sleep until my dad got there. So we only got to stay at the cabin for one night. But it was a nice little vacation other than getting lost and whatnot. They have a porch on the house that looks out to the mountains and we saw a giant moose. It was neat. It rained a lot while we were there so we didn’t get to go out and do much. We’ll prolly go back out sometime when we have more time to stay.

I haven’t posted in like, years. So I figured I should. Quite a bit of exciting things have gone on I guess. Grandpa gave me a rifle, it’s big. I’ve only gone to shoot it once and didn’t even hit the target cuz the scope isn’t sighted in. Poo. I like shooting hand guns better. That being said, I’ve been looking online at pistols a lot and I finally found one I want. So I’ve been running around with dad to pawn shops and whatnot to see what they have. I found a few but the cheapest place I found will have to order it for me. Not sure exactly when I’ll do that, but I’m pretty excited.
So me and Mike went sledding Saturday. I haven’t been sledding in so many years. It was hella fun but I tore myself UP! I don’t remember ever hurting myself sledding when I was little. But I scraped up my sides and my face, have 4 big bruises on my left knee, 4 on my right knee, one on my elbow, and my neck hurts super bad. Whiplash?
It’s just uncomfortable to move haha. And Mike, not a scratch. It’s not fair haha. Oh well. It was fun though.
Annnd my bebe turned one year old! Pretty exciting. We took him to Hooters and got him a cheeseburger cake and he loved it.

So it’s been a long time since the last time I posted. I guess I should post, huh? Quite a bit has gone on…I think. I don’t remember any of it though really. I’ve been chillin with friends, that’s always fun. I don’t really remember anything else though.
Chad and I went to Shorty Small’s on Valentine’s Day. It was yummy, as usual, and they gave me a rose.
Hooray.
We went to Lowe’s yesterday to get a new shower head cuz ours crapped out and was spraying water all over the ceiling. The new one is weird looking. I haven’t used it yet. I get to try it out tomorrow. Exciting. I also found a medium sized house tree at Lowe’s for $7. Soooo, I got it. Its name is Pokey. Last name; Tree. Middle name; Frances. Pokey Frances Tree. We like him. Kaden likes to stare at him too. I noticed when we got home that Pokey needs “bright light”. We don’t really have anywhere in the house that gets a lot of sun. Soo, he will probably die soon like every other plant that I’ve had. I opened the front door and set him in front of the glass door in the sun this afternoon. He seemed to enjoy it.

Last night I didn’t really know what to fix for dinner but I did know that breakfast food and casserole sounded good. SO, I decided to make a breakfast casserole. I searched around a bit online to see if there were any such recipes. There kind of was but there was a lot of things I didn’t like about the recipe that I changed. Usually when I try to change recipes, it turns out badly. But this time it was good! The casserole had potatoes, scrambles eggs, bacon, onions and a cheese sauce. It was sooo yummy. The recipe called for sliced boiled eggs but I was like haaaaail naw, I ain’t puttin no damn boiled eggs in ma casserole, dat naasteh.
It said to just use a plain white cream sauce but I made a creamy cheese sauce instead. It didn’t call for onions either but I threw a few in anyways.
It was super yummy and we have quite a bit leftover, yay! If you want the recipe I suppose I’ll share it… for a price.

So, Friday was Christen’s sisters 18th birthday so we went out to Club Fuzion. I had only been to a club once in Emporia and it was a really small, nasty club so I was unsure if I would like this. But this club was cool, it was soooo loud though. It took me about 4 hours after we left to get my full hearing back. This also made ordering drinks at the bar somewhat of a challenge haha. Christen and I had dranks and they were yummy. Random guys came and visited us. Once I had had enough alcohol some guy was able to convince me to dance. I have never ever danced in front of anyone before in my life cuz I’m way too afraid of looking stupid. But, I did it and it was fun! I’m sure I didn’t do it well though haha. We got up in the lil raised box thing with bars and danced too. It kinda felt like I was supposed to be taking clothes off up there though haha. Some guy I danced with asked if he could buy me a drink so I was like why the hell not? haha. Then I told him I was married haha. I’m such a horrible person, poor guy. Oh well, free drink.
It was a good night but my legs are still sore from dancing. That was more excersize than I’ve had in years haha. That’s pretty sad. I need to start working out or something…

Ugh, it’s Monday again, I hate Mondays. The weekend was fun though. Friday evening I went to my sister’s house and she highlighed my hair. It didn’t turn out too bad. Then I came home and hung out with Chad and Kaden for a while and then met up with Kyle to watch Totoro but we ended up not watching it that night. We went to his friend’s house who was verrrrrry drunk so I walk in the front door and the first thing he does is bend over and moon me. So I saw more than enough ass and balls that night haha. Then we went over to Kyle’s other friend’s apartment and played guitar hero. It was my second time playing so I sucked. Oh well. Saturday…I don’t really remember.. oh yeah! Saturday night we had Mom watch Kaden and we went to the Christmas party tweetup. Met lots of new people and it was fun. I had this really good peach beer that was in a wine looking bottle with a cork. If I had to imagine eating popuri, that’s what this tasted like haha. It was good though. I drank a lil too much haha. Sunday we slept in and then I went shopping with my sister. Then came home and chilled with Chad and Kaden some more. Then met up with Kyle again to try to watch Totoro. We ended up at his friend’s house that showed me his balls again. They had other movies to watch so we watched Bad Santa, then we tried to watch Totoro but I told them they wouldn’t like it, and they didn’t haha. So we made it through maybe half before it got turned off and they put in Fight Club. I had never seen it before, nor do I ever want to see it again. Two and a half movies in one night was a bit of an overload considering how I don’t care to watch movies. Oh well. I wasn’t paying attention half the time or me and Kyle we talking about something really retarded cuz we had be taking shots of vodka haha. It’s cool though. I still have to make Kyle watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation cuz he’s never seen it and that’s just un-American. It’s a funny movie! But yeah, that’s about how my weekend went. Now it’s stupid Monday and I am not happy about this at all. But so far today I’ve done the dishes, started the laundry and cleaned the kitchen a bit. I got both of Chad’s presents I ordered in the mail. He has already guessed what one of them is. Grrr. Oh well. We still have to finish the rest of our shopping. We went to the mall saturday which was a big mistake. Ok, I don’t wanna type anymore…
8 Dec
We put the Christmas decorations up the other day. We put the stockings up last year but this is our first year to put up a tree. It’s just an old tree my mom had around her house so it’s nothing fancy. Actually, it’s kind of crappy. If you look at it closely you can see inside the middle of the tree and tell that it is very fake. Oh well.
I went to the IBR Plasma Center Saturday with Kyle to try to donate plasma again. You have to weigh at least 110 to donate so I had been eating a ton to try to weigh enough. So we got there and I was only 108.6 pounds so I didn’t get to. They told me to come back if I gain a few pounds. But I don’t see that happening any time soon. I’m already back down to almost 100 again somehow. No good. So I guess I’ll never get to have my own money.
I had big plans for the money that would be mine. So since dad went with me to ZLB Plasma Center the first time, he got it into his head that we must be really poor and starving to death since I want to donate plasma for money. He was like, “I can loan you some money if you need it, you don’t need to do this.” I told him I don’t know how many times that we’re fine and I just wanted a lil extra money of my own. So I get a phone call from my grandma today asking if we were ok and if I needed money. I was like, “no, we’re fine.” And kept asking, “are you sure? I can take you grocery shopping, does Kaden have enough food?” What is it with people thinking we’re on the verge of starvation just because I wanted to donate plasma?! I just wanted to, ok! Damn.
