I heard it said just the other day, “If you’re angry, it’s because you’re only thinking of yourself.”  And I was like, wow.  It all made sense.  Thinking back at all the times I’ve been angry or upset, I was only thinking about me.  For example,  ‘This person treated me unfairly and I missed out on some things I wanted to do.’  At one time in my life I had so much anger and bitterness stored up that I wouldn’t let go of and I was very unhappy. There’s so many people that live their lives that way.  I’ve learned to let go of my anger and bitterness in my life and am much happier.  We should quit being so self centered and stop only thinking about ourselves all the time.  Not only does being angry hurt you, but it hurts the people around you and makes them miserable as well.  People remember that.  And I don’t want to be remembered as being angry, mean and grouchy all the time.  Living with anger and bitterness is honestly a miserable way to go through life and life is too short to live being angry.
